I am very excited to join the staff Barrhead Composite High School and more importantly the community of Barrhead. I look forward to working with others in the school and the community as our family plants our own roots here in Northern Alberta.
I was born and raised in Edmonton. For the past 6 years I have been living and teaching grade four in Airdrie, Alberta. I attended Augustana University College in Camrose where I met my wife Kelly (formally Visser) who was raised here in Barrhead. We both completed our Education Degree at Concordia University College of Alberta in elementary education. After countless weekends on the road, we decided to move back to Barrhead to be closer to family. Outside of preparing school lessons and watching our nieces and nephews play hockey, the majority of our time is focused around our two boys Hudson and Harrison. Hudson just turned two at the start of the school year and Harrison will turn one at the beginning of October.
I have taught grade four thru eight. This is my seventh year as a school teacher and my first as a teacher here at Barrhead Composite High School. I look forward to serving the community for years to come.
Don't hesitate to email, phone or stop on in. I love working with parents to further their child's education and social development.
