Alix deBeaudrap

Hello! Welcome to the 2015-16 school year.

My name is Ms deBeaudrap, and I've been a science teacher in the junior high since 2010. In that time, I've worked hard to establish a hands-on, inquiry-based program for my students. I feel strongly that they should experience science, and the best way we can do that is to immerse ourselves in lab work.

This year my focus is on the grade 7 and 9 science programs, and hopefully we can shake things up in the science classroom, giving it a more "earthy" feel. Hopefully within the year you will be able to check out some photos and see what we've been up to, or come in to see it for yourself.

I grew up in a rural town most people have never heard of - Trochu - and took my BSc (biology major, agriculture minor) at the U of A, and followed it with a BEd after degree. I have two amazing little people at home (Nate & Everlea) and I love basketball, photography, and the ocean.

Feel free to contact me at, or at 780-674-8522. I also have set up an external website at and have a teaching account on both Instagram and Twitter @DebeaudrapMs. I make use of Remind (see course letter for your classroom name!!)

Here's to a fantastic learning adventure!
