Biography

Hello and welcome to my bio. My famiy and I live on a busy farm near Camp Creek. My two children, Will and Emily and my husband, Walter are very supportive of my teaching career. My story includes living all across Canada and working at a number of jobs at Rollerskating Rinks, Retail stores, Theatre companies,  Restaurants and schools until I decided to become a teacher 9 years ago. I first earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree with Distinction through correspondence at Athabasca Univeristy and then drove to the city to earn my Bachelor of Education at Concordia University.

The Fort has been my second home since 2006 when I began teaching 5/6 and I am very excited to continue to teach grades 5-9 this year. In 2008, I was given the opportunity to become the school counsellor and I continue to enjoy supporting students and staff in this role.Swimming is my other passion and  I have coached the Barrhead Swim Team for the past 14 years. I am an avid swimmer myself and I have recently competed in a couple of sprint triathalons. I love to help out on the farm and hang out in my large garden. I am excited to share my expertise and experience with you this year. My door is always open so come on in and spend some time with me.
